I had a friend explain to me why a passion for motorcycles is not just about riding them:
“Speed and lean angles in the bends provide an adrenaline rush for passionate motorcyclists, because riding a motorcycle gives you the ultimate feeling of freedom!

For many people, riding a motorcycle is not only an expression of freedom, but also a certain connection with nature.

Every ride is perceived as a feeling of happiness and serves many as regeneration from everyday life and a source of new vitality.

Feel the airstream, feel the track and experience speed directly.

No form of transportation is more individual and fascinating than motorcycling. Whether you’re a style-conscious enduro rider, cornering enthusiast, streetmoto biker or chopper rider, everyone will find their passion on their bike.”

During the conversation or rather the monologue in his workshop, I then discovered an old BMW. It was in the back corner, a little away from the other two-wheelers. The evening sun’s rays bathed the machine in such a beautiful light that I realized at that moment that I had to bring this passion to the canvas.

The summer of 2021 was less characterized by sunshine. Many, many rainy days!

But nature is recovering from the last dry spell of the record-breaking summers of recent years.

And I had enough time to linger in creative moments.

Without the rain in August, there wouldn’t be this beautiful, subtle picture.

My favorite saying, which applies so often:
“There is rarely a harm without a benefit!”
